History in brief
The scheme was launched in 2019 for federal government employees through FGEHA and for lawyers through the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA). Development was slow. In September 2025 the three parties signed a tripartite agreement under which DHA Islamabad took over development and management, which revived buyer interest.
Location
The scheme sits on Park Road, near COMSATS University, in the Chak Shahzad area east of central Islamabad (revenue estates of Tamma, Moriyan and Chak Farash). Park Road links it to Islamabad Expressway, Kuri Road and Murree Road.
Plots and blocks
- 4,781 plots in total: 2,088 for FGEHA allottees and 2,693 for SCBA members.
- Blocks A to H, with the largest number of plots in Block E.
- Plot sizes: mostly 1 Kanal (50 × 90 ft) and 10 Marla (35 × 70 ft), plus 14 Marla (40 × 80 ft).
Prices and payment
Residential plots trade mainly on resale, for full cash payment. Indicative 2026 market ranges reported by property portals were about PKR 1.98–2.5 crore for 10 Marla and PKR 3.1–3.75 crore for 1 Kanal. Rates differ by block, allotment type and whether development charges are paid, so ask us for this week's rate.
Transfers
Transfers are processed through the FGEHA office in G-10, Islamabad. Budget for the transfer fee and FBR withholding taxes. We check that the allotment and dues are clear before you pay.
Is it a farmhouse scheme?
No. Despite the name, Margalla Orchard is a regular residential scheme with Kanal and Marla plots, not farmhouses.
